Author Biographies

• Reinier Baarsen

  Reinier Baarsen is the senior curator of furniture at the Rijksmuseum, where for twenty years he was keeper of the former Department of Sculpture and Decorative Arts, and professor of History of European Decorative Arts at Leiden University.

• Mattie Boom

  Mattie Boom is curator of photography at the Rijksmuseum and published in 2019 her dissertation, Everyone a Photographer: The Rise of Amateur Photography in the Netherlands 1880-1940.

• Jeroen ter Brugge

  Jeroen ter Brugge is the curator of maritime collections at the Rijksmuseum.

  Jan van Campen is the curator of Asian export art at the Rijksmuseum.
