• Ilja M. Veldman

  Ilja Veldman (1944) was professor of art history at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam from 1984 until 2006. Her main field of research is Dutch art 1400-1700, with an emphasis on meaning, function, prints and print production. She has written books about Maarten van Heemskerck, Dirck Volkertsz Coornhert and Crispijn de Passe, and many articles on various iconological subjects.
