• Martin Bijl

  Martin Bijl (1954) worked in the Restorations department of the Rijksmuseum as a volunteer from 1978 until 1980, as a conservator from 1980 until 1990 and as chief conservator from 1990 until 2000. He has been an independent conservator since 2000. He is a member of the Rembrandt research Project and published on the techniques of Ian Steen and Frans Hals.
