Author Biography

  • Margreet Boomkamp

    Magreet Boomkamp is a specialist in 18th- and 19th-century sculpture. As part of her work in the Rijksmuseum (2007-2008) she conducted research into the sculptors Paul Gabriël and Lorenzo Bartolini. This resulted in three articles for The Burlington Magazine (2007) and The Rijksmuseum Bulletin (elsewhere in this issue, and a second in preparation). She is currently carrying out research into Antonio Canova and Bertel Thorvaldsen.
