On the Departure of Gregor Weber

Abstract

On May 26th, Gregor M. Weber, head of the fine arts department, bid farewell to the Rijksmuseum and was presented the latest issue of The Rijksmuseum Bulletin, specially created in his honour. Several curators and conservators, mostly colleagues, contributed concise articles highlighting remarkable discoveries, unknown artifacts, and fresh interpretations of better-known pieces. Spanning a diverse range of artworks, from Rembrandt’s Standard Bearer to sculptural silverwork, jewellery and boxwood carving, this Bulletin showcases the Rijksmuseum’s collection at its finest.
