An Amsterdam Couple Reunited

Jonathan Bikker is research curator in the Fine Arts department at the Rijksmuseum. His PhD dissertation (Utrecht University) on Rembrandt’s pupil Willem Drost was published by Yale University Press in 2005. He is an author and editor-in-chief of the catalogues of the permanent collection of seventeenth-century Dutch paintings in the Rijksmuseum, the first volume of which was published in 2007.
