Author Biography

  • Richard Harmanni

    Richard Harmanni studied Art History at Groningen and Leiden, and specialised in interior art. From 2001 to 2007 he was coordinator of the project ‘Inventarisatie decoratieve interieurschilderingen in Nederland (1600-1940)’ for the Netherlands Institute for Art History and the Cultural Heritage Agency. In 2006 he obtained his doctorate with his thesis Jurriaan Andriessen (1742-1819). ‘Behangselschilder’. Since 2011 he has been an independent art historian and guest lecturer. He works for TU Delft, various local authorities and heritage organizations, the art trade and private individuals as a researcher,
    publicist and consultant. He also chairs the about the authors 119 Stichting Historische Behangsels en Wanddecoraties in Nederland
