Author Biography

  • Marleen Ram

    Marleen Ram is junior curator of drawings at the Rijksmuseum. She took Renaissance Studies at the University of Utrecht, where she
    gained her degree with a thesis on the animal drawings of Jan van der Straet in the Uffizi, Florence. At the Rijksmuseum she contributed to the exhibition catalogue Home and Abroad: Landscape Drawings from the John and Marine van Vlissingen Art Foundation (Amsterdam/ Paris 2015). She specializes in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish drawings.
