Author Biographies

  • Erik Hinterding

    Erik Hinterding is curator of prints at the Print Room in Amsterdam. He has published on subjects including King William II’s nineteenth-century Art Gallery, the prints of the mannerist engraver Jan Muller and chiaroscuro woodcuts from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. He is also a specialist in Rembrandt’s etchings, on which he has published widely.

  • Olenka Horbatsch

    Olenka Horbatsch specializes in the early history of Netherlandish printmaking. In 2014-15 she undertook an internship at the Rijksmuseum Print Room. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Toronto, Canada, on early sixteenth-century Netherlandish prints with a special interest in innovative print techniques. In January 2017, she will take up a curatorial position at the British Museum, London.
