Author Biographies

  • Erik Hinterding

    Erik Hinterding is curator of prints at the Print Room in Amsterdam. He has published on subjects including King William II’s nineteenth-century Art Gallery, the prints of the mannerist engraver Jan Muller and chiaroscuro woodcuts from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. He is also a specialist in Rembrandt’s etchings, on which he has published widely.

  • Huigen Leeflang

    Huigen Leeflang is curator of prints at the Rijksmuseum Print Room. He publishes on sixteenth and seventeenth-century drawing and
    printmaking. As an editor he has been involved in the production of several volumes of New Hollstein: Dutch & Flemish Etchings, Engravings and Woodcuts.

  • Jeroen Luyckx

    Jeroen Luyckx studied Art History at the University of Leuven and the VU University Amsterdam. He is currently undertaking a doctoral research at the University of Leuven on the output, family and milieu of Hans Liefrinck, a sixteenth-century Antwerp printmaker and publisher. As part of that project, he was a Fellow of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation at the Rijksmuseum from 2014 to 2016.

  • Brooks Rich

    Brooks Rich is a PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, specializing in the history of early modern European prints. Rich was a Fellow of the Dr Anton C. Dreesmann Fellowship at the Rijksmuseum from September 2015 until August 2016.
