Author Biography

Michael Putter

Michael Putter studied Art Studies and Book History at the University of Amsterdam. His specialties include Dutch and Flemish history painting of the first half of the nineteenth century.
He is currently working in the rare book trade and preparing an article on the repatriation of artworks to the Netherlands in 1815.
