Author Biography

Anna Grasskamp

Anna Grasskamp is a post-doctoral fellow at the Cluster of Excellence: Asia and Europe in a Global Context at Heidelberg University. In 2013 she received her PhD degree from Leiden University, where her research was generously supported by the Hulsewé-Wazniewski Foundation. She recently published ‘Frames of Appropriation: Foreign Artefacts on Display in Early Modern Europe and China,’ in P. ten-Doesschate Chu and Ding Ning (eds.), Qing Encounters: Artistic Exchanges between China and the West, Los Angeles 2015, pp. 29-42.
