Frans Hals

Frans Grijzenhout is a professor of early-modern art history at the University of Amsterdam. His research spans satire, art and politics, especially in the eighteenth century. In 2007 he wrote The Burgher of Delft. A Painting by Jan Steen with Niek van Sas.
