‘The Office of the Dead’

Matthias Ubl has been working as a junior curator of early Netherlandish paintings at the Rijksmuseum since October 2009. He is also responsible for the early German paintings and the collection of stained glass panels. He studied art history at the Universities of Heidelberg and London and was awarded his PhD for a monographic study of the Brunswick Monogrammist at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau.
